Celebrating the passion of our riders
An enthusiastic 469 people took part in this year’s On Your Bike.
“The best bit was going down the hills.” said Jack Hutchins, 10, who cycled 6 miles with his Mum Claire, Dad Paul and sister Lucy, 7. Paul said “It’s really good for everyone to be doing something together, and it’s the furthest Lucy’s ever cycled, which is great.”
“Completing On Your Bike is a huge achievement for many of the children.” said On Your Bike Founder, Penny Snowden. “The youngest rider to cycle the full 20 mile route under his own pedal power, was 6 year old Oscar Nash, from Sonning Common Primary School. Remarkable! I was overwhelmed to see so many children and teenagers from other schools take part this year too.”
At least £3,000 has been raised so far from sponsors, entry fees and donations. On your bike has raised over £50,000 now since it began.
